Smoke alarms for residential installation

In January 2021, Garibaldi Fire & Rescue was supported by the Oregon State Police and Oregon Office of State Fire Marshal to provide smoke alarms for residential installation. 

This is a statewide program to provide residence with smoke alarms for early detection and warning in the event of a fire. 

Garibaldi Fire & Rescue has smoke alarms on hand and are available for installation with minimal paperwork required.  They are also available to conduct a walk through for compliance of smoke detectors and in-home hazards. 

Smoke alarms should be checked annually and replaced every 10 years from the manufacturer date.
